Gov Alia Congratulates Prof. Yilwatda On Emergence As APC National Chairman

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has congratulates Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Prof. Yilwatda, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, was elected by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the APC, on Thursday, July, 24, 2024 in Abuja.

He replaces Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who resigned in June, 2025, over personal and health reasons.

Governor Alia, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kiula, described Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as a distinguished academic and a visionary leader, said, he has no doubt in the ability of the Plateau State born scholar and politician to succeed in taking the party to more enviable heights.

Alia cites Prof. Yilwatda’s intellect, brilliance, expertise, integrity and his unwavering commitment to excellence, as some of the qualities that will draw more admiration and attract more support and love for the ruling APC across the country.

The Governor wished the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Benue State and the Governorship candidate of the APC in the 2023 election in Plateau State all the best as he steers the affairs of the ruling Party as it’s National Chairman.
