Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Iormem ALIA, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, joined the family, friends and millions of Nigerians to felicitate with former Nigeria military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd), on his 84th birthday anniversary.
Governor Alia described the former leader’s 84 years as those of outstanding accomplishments and great personal fulfilment, stressing that attaining such an age shows God’s grace, benevolence and mercies.
He also acknowledged the historical role the former military President played in shaping the political and economic development of the country.
A statement by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State said that Alia prayed for more of God’s sustenance and strength for the Octogenarian.
