BY WILLIAM ATTAH, GOMBE – With the crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe state becoming intractable, one of Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya’s trusted aides and Special Adviser on Social Investment, Hajiya Dijatu Bappa, has quit her position in the government.

Hajiya Bappa’s resignation letter addressed to the Governor and dated 1st February, 2022, said her disengagement from the government service was with immediate effect.

In the letter, which did not state reasons for her action, the erstwhile Special adviser said; “I write to inform you of my decision to terminate my service as Special Adviser to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State on Social Investment programme with effect from 1st February 2022”.

Part of her letter also reads; “Your Excellency Sir, I sincerely thank you for giving me this golden opportunity to serve under your able leadership, it is indeed a rare privilege to serve in that capacity.”

However, when Forefront put a call through to her on the subject matter, Hajia Bappah said; “It’s just the time for it. Everything has its time. Whenever there is an inlet, there is also an outlet. I decided to leave on my own and I remain grateful for being given the opportunity to serve”.
