Gov. Mutfwang Moves To Recover Auctioned Govt. Property, Sets Up Task Force
The Plateau State Governor, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang has approved the constitution of a Task Force on the recovery of purported auctioned government property.
Membership of the Task Force included, Mr. Isaac Wadak as Chairman with Mr. David Zoyong, Akims Mamot, Damian Shekarau, Shehu Nura Jos and Raymond Dangrem as members.
Others members include the representative of the Commissioner, Mr. Nantip Bedur while Mr. Pam Gyang Davou would serve as Secretary.
A statement by Mr. Samuel N. Jatau, Secretary to the State Government, said that the Task Force will be guided by the following Terms of Reference: Identification/trace of all Government properties that were purported to have been auctioned across the country, ascertain whether or not due process was adhered to in the exercise, recovery of all Government Assets that were purportedly or inappropriately acquired by individuals/groups/or corporate entities and any other recommendation that will lead to the recovery of Government assets and safeguard future occurrences.
Jatau also stated that the Task Force has six weeks within which to complete the assignment.
