New Job For Ex-Minister Lai Mohammed
Just days after completing his duty tour in the dissolved Federal Executive Council (FEC), former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has taken on a new role as the managing partner in an international lobbying firm, Ballard Partners
Mohammed will serve as the managing partner for the renowned United States-based government relations firm which announced its expansion into Africa with the opening of its first office in Abuja, Nigeria.
Ballard Partners confirmed Mohammed’s new role in a statement issued on their official Twitter page on Tuesday, noting that he will be the managing partner for the Abuja office and oversee the firm’s satellite office in Lagos, and the nation’s financial centre.
According to the statement, Mohammed’s respected status in Nigeria and extensive experience in public service were taken into consideration by the Firm in bringing him on board, even as the President and founder of Ballard Partners, Brian Ballard, lauded the ex-Minister for joining the firm.
Also praising his outstanding reputation and exceptional experience, Ballard noted that opening an office in Nigeria expands the firm’s international presence to three continents and builds upon its work on behalf of African nations and companies.
