…Donates 6million palliatives to Jema’a LG
BY ISRAEL BULUS, KAFANCHAN – The Vision Pioneer of Throneroom (Trust) Ministry, in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Apostle Nuhu Kure has called on the Federal Government to encourage local researchers to find cure for COVID-19 pandemic.
Apostle Kure, who stated this while handing over six million food items to Jema’a Local Government Council Chairman for onward distribution, said the Covid-19 pandemic provide an opportunity to put Nigeria on the global map by encouraging local researchers to find cure for the disease just like the Chinese.
In his word; “There is need for the Federal Government to encourage all the agencies carrying out research locally to begin testing the way China is doing toward finding cure for the pandemic. I prefer a Nigerian cure than WHO cure.”
Kure also advised the Federal Government to adopt more measures that will help to stop the spread of the disease.
The Cleric commended government at all levels for the measures taken so far in the fight against the virus and prayed God to heal the land of the pandemic
Kure assured that his Ministry will continue to stand on the side of the Government to sacrifice more to ensure that the country is out of the global pandemic.
Speaking on the six million naira palliatives, Apostle Kure said, the palliatives are targeted towards the downtrodden in the area in order to cushion the effects of the lockdown imposed by the State government.
He said that his Ministry has decided to step up and carry out its social responsibility by providing palliatives to help the vulnerable in the society.
Kure appealed to the people to comply with the sit-at-home order and other preventive measures against the dreaded coronavirus pandemic just as he tasked the Response Team to be prudent in the distribution of the items to the targeted beneficiaries.
Receiving the items, the Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Council, Mr Peter Danjuma Averik appreciated the Religious Organization for the gesture, noting that it will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the lockdown.
Averik appealed to other public spirited individuals and organizations to emulate the gesture of Throneroom Ministry.
The chairman said that the Local Government is facing a lot of challenges, adding that the condition of the people would have been worse if not for spirited people like Aposty Kure.
Items donated include 100 bags of rice, 146 bags of maize, 100 bags of millet, 142 bags of beans and 109 bags of garri.
