Governor Oborevwori Of Delta State Defects From PDP To APC
In what appeared a deft political twist, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, formerly dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement of his defection followed a high-level closed-door meeting that took place at the Government House in Asaba.
Governor Oborevwori was elected governor of Delta State in 2023 on the platform of the PDP.
He was received by top APC chieftains in what is now being described as a strategic political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
