Governor Wke Commends Fintiri Developmental Strides

As he faults Buhari’s corruption fight.

BY AUSTIN AJAYI, YOLA – Governor Nyesome Wike of Rivers State has expressed surprise at the number of projects going on in Adamawa State.
Wike, who embarked on project tour in Adamawa State on Thursday, commended Governor Umaru Fintiri while chatting with journalists after inspecting a major flyover and greater interchange in the state capital.

Wike said; “I’m shocked with what I have seen. I’m asking him, where are you getting money from to carry out these projects”.

“I am aware that most state governors are battling with lack of funds. Anyway, I am not surprised because Finitiri is a PDP governor”.
The Rivers Governor urged Fintiri to always make the people of the state happy and not to be disturbed or distracted by the antics of enemies of his Government.
Wike noted that PDP states are better governed making them to fare better in terms of quality and numbers of infrastructural projects being executed.
He said; “You have done very well. In fact to say that you are trying is an understatement. In fact, you are doing very well.
“PDP states are doing very well and some are angry. Let them show what they are doing instead of being angry,” he said.

Wike however carpeted the corruption crusade of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC Government, describing it is lopsided.

According to him; “If you are an APC card carrying member, you are tagged as not corrupt but if you are from other parties, you are corrupt.”

He charged the media to do more in reporting the ills of the government.
