Groups Flay Namdas Over Claim Of Being Hottest Topic in Adamawa
A Coalition of civil society organizations on the aegis of ‘Kungiyar Adamawa Initiative (KAI)’ has chided Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, representing Mayo Belwa, Toungo, Ganye and Jada in the House of Representatives over his claims of being the hottest topic in Adamawa.
KAI described Namdas’ claim as a fluke and a joke taken too far.
In a statement in Yola by the Secretary-General of the coalition, Mohammed Idrisu, the groups tasked Namdas to advise his paymasters to put machinery in place to prepare him for his eventual defeat within his party primaries.
It noted the opinion published by Thisday Newspaper suggesting that Namdas is the hottest topic in Adamawa politics, stressing that his claim that he will unseat Governor Umaru Fintiri was not only reprehensive but raises the question of whether the opinion writer knows Adamawa politics.
KAI, however, urged the opinion writer to visit Adamawa State and get the shock of his life as Namdas will not even come third in his party primaries talk less of unseating Governor Fintiri.
The Coalition further said; “There is nothing real in the change being promoted by Namdas and his group. Namdas cannot win any election convincingly in Adamawa.
KAI said that it was shameful for the newspaper to publish such a write-up on its platform, knowing that Namdas cannot come near APC ticket in 2023 talk less of unseating the incumbent.
It also said; “It is unfortunate that people believe that politics has nothing to do with morality. The fact that this belief is often put into practice largely explains why we witness all sorts of absurdities in politics today”.
