A lecturer at Bingham University, Abuja, Professor Musa Dankyau, has been abducted by gunmen from his residence in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was gathered that the incident reportedly took place on Monday night at SA Estate, along Guratopp Road, where the armed men stormed and forcibly took the professor to an unknown destination.
The abduction has triggered widespread concern within and outside the local community and academic circles, thereby sparking concerted efforts at securing his release.
This was as Zagazola Makama, a Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, confirmed the incident, saying that the incident occurred on Monday at about 9:30pm.
Makama said the armed assailants stormed SA Estate along Guratopp Road and whisked the professor away to an unknown destination.
The counter-insurgency expert further said that a coordinated effort is currently underway to rescue the victim and bring the perpetrators to justice.
