The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev. Yakubu Pam assured of his commitment towards actualizing the aims and objectives of the Commission would be fully actualized.
Pam, who gave the assurance on assumption of duty at the corporate headquarters of the Commission in Abuja, described his appointment as a divine act of God, stressing that he would not disappoint the people.
He also promised to use the platform which NCPC provides to unite the people so that at the end of the day, there will be justice.
Pam while thanking President Muhammadu Buhari for finding him worthy of the appointment, promised not to let him down just as he said that he is determined not to bring shame on the people of Plateau State, Nigeria and the people of God.
He also thanked the former Director in Charge of the Commission, Mrs. Esther Kwaghe for effectively holding sway for eleven months.
A statement by the Assistant Director and head of media of the NCPC, Mr Celestine Toruka, said that highlight of the event was the official hand over to the new Executive Secretary, Rev. Yakubu Pam by the former Director in Charge of the Commission, Mrs. Esther Kwaghe.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Governor of Plateau State, Mr Simon Lalong, Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Pallen Tallen, representative of the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, Gbong Gwom Jos, Buba Gyang and some members of the National Assembly.
President Buhari last weekend approved the appointment of Rev. Pam as the 3rd substantive Executive Secretary of NCPC. The appointment according to the Presidency took effect from June 26, 2020.
