The mother of Hajiya Asma’u Yawo Halilu, the immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, is dead.
Hajiya Fatima Sa’eed Usman died at the residence of Halilu situated at Unguwar Rimi in Kaduna, on Monday evening at about 8:30p.m. at the age of 82.
Late Hajiya Fatima’s remains were committed to mother earth on Tuesday afternoon at the Unguwar Rimi Muslims cemetery according to Islamic rites after Jana’iza prayer at Misbahu Mosque shortly after Zuhur prayer.
Her funeral had in attendance prominent figures, family members, friends and journalists from across the state.
The late Hajiya Fatima Sa’eed Usman left behind six children, grand children, great grand children, brothers, sisters and relatives.
