BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – Two Nigerian Air Force aircraft involved in the rehearsals for the country’s 58th Independence Day celebrations scheduled to take place next Monday have crashed.
The two aircraft, Forefront News gathered crashed at the Katampe-Mpape axis of the nation’s capital, Abuja.
A terse statement confirming the incident by the Director, Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola said that thankfully, no life was lost.
Daramola statement reads; “I wish confirm an air incident involving 2 Nigerian Air Force aircraft taking part in the rehearsals for the 58th Independence Day Celebrations.
“Thankfully no lives were lost. Details will be communicated later. Thank you”.
