…Says, the president is out of ideas

Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Friday said after a critical look at the insecurity ravaging the country, it arrived at the conclusion that President Muhammadu Buhari has run out of ideas on what to do.

It therefore said that it is left with no option than to call on the President to humbly resign since there is no way he can subdue the terrorists that have taken over the northern part of the country.

The NYCN noted that the security challenges has engulfed the country, most especially Northern Nigeria which has become the epicenter of kidnapping-for-ransom, blood bath and lately an abattoir where human beings are roasted alive for the crime of daring to travel on roads that were constructed from the taxes they paid to the government.

In a statement, the President of the NYCN, Isah Abubakar, pointedly said that it was embarrassing that President Buhari is idly watching the terrorist elements reigning supreme in the country, imposing taxes on his supposed citizens, stopping them yet, he is unperturbed. In the words of Abubakar; “This is a clear characteristic of a leader that has run out of steam. The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria is constraint to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to humbly resign since it is obvious that he has run out of idea on how to subdue the terrorists that have taken over significant parts of Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Zamfara states and the busiest Kaduna-Abuja expressway on one side, and recently, the daring attacks by Boko Haram/ISWAP which have continued unabated.”

The NYCN said that in the alternative, where President Buhari fails to eat the humble pie, its members would call on the National Assembly to expedite action and initiate processes of impeachment against him, adding that Nigerians would certainly stand with the federal legislators as it would also help in redeeming their damaged reputation.

The youths also said that where the above recommendation fails, Nigerians should do everything possible to defend themselves.

Abubakar further said; “We cannot continue to watch anarchists reign supreme over us while we seat like cowards to be killed. It is better you are arrested and kept in prison for daring to defend yourself than to be buried in a grave because you didn’t dare to do something. Enough is Enough!”
