Kaduna AGA Governorship Candidate-Umar Picks Timothy Adamu As Running Mate
BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – The governorship candidate of the All Grassroots Alliance (AGA), in Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Umar, has picked Mr. Timothy Adamu as his running mate for the 2019 general election in the state.
Mr. Timothy Adamu, born on August 13, 1962 hails from Kaura village in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State was nominated after wide consultations by party members and stakeholders for acceptability within and outside the Southern Kaduna Senatorial zone.
A banker by profession, Adamu joined the services of Union Bank in 1980 and rose through the ranks to become manager until his retirement after 30 years of service.
A game changer and fountain of unity, Adamu joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in 2008 at Kaura ward and contested the local government chairmanship in 2012.
He was appointed a member of the PDP congress appeal committee for Kogi State by the national headquarters of the party in 2013 and later joined the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), in 2014 as the state patron.
Mr. Timothy Adamu is the patron, Southern Kaduna Youth Grassroots Movement; Patron, Frontiers for good governance, Patron, Liberty Forum, Youth and Women and Patron, Chat Young Girls Forum, Kaura Local Government.
