BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – The Governorship Running Mate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state, Hon Sunday Katung Marshal, has attributed the present challenges Nigerians are facing to the failure of the elites.
Marshal also said there is conspiracy among the elites against the majority of Nigerians, who are left at the mercy of God, to suffer untold hardship leading to the present predicament the country has found itself.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. John Joseph Hayab in Kaduna, Marshal enjoined Nigerians irrespective of differences to unite for the overall peaceful coexistence of the country.
He said, “It is sad that at this moment when there is increase in knowledge that is supposed to translate to better understanding of one another, there is increase in division culminating in what we are passing through today in the country.”
The Kaduna state PDP gubernatorial candidate running mate, assured the people of the state that the voting of PDP in the state would ensure the restoration of peace, unity and understanding among the diverse people of the state.
He further said; “I have known my principal, the gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Isa Mohammed Ashiru years back in school when we interacted very closely and there hasn’t been any time since l know him that he has shown any difference in anything that he does in relation to those he relates with.
“This goes to show that as a team, we are determined God willing, if given the mandate by the good people of Kaduna state to restore unity, oneness and understanding that will guarantee good governance and the development of the state.”
He enjoined the leadership of CAN in the state to lead by example to ensure the unity of the Church, Kaduna state and the country as a whole.
