Kaduna PDP Primaries: Party Assures Aspirants Level-playing Field

BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State chapter has assured all aspirants into various elective public offices on the platform of the party of its resolved to give every aspirant a level playing ground to achieve their aspirations.

This is just as the party expressed shock over the press conference held in Kaduna on Friday by the Unity Forum of Governorship Aspirants on its platform.

In a statement by the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Abraham Alberah Catoh, the party expressed surprise over the allegations raised by the Forum of Governorship aspirants, stressing that the State Working Committee (SWC), discussed with the aspirants on some important issues towards ensuring free and fair governorship primaries.
Catoh said; “The Party further expressed its surprise over the allegations raised by the governorship aspirants, due to the fact that the aspirants met yesterday (Friday) with the State Working Committee (SWC), of the party and discussed very important issues that would ensure free and fair gubernatorial Congresses (primaries) on the 28th September,2018.

“At the meeting, four of the aspirants that gave the press release were present, namely; Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, Dr Mohammed Sani Bello and Sani Sidi.”

The party observed that the governorship aspirants made valuable contributions that would lead to a successful primaries at the meeting.

“At the meeting, resolutions reached and ratified were all accepted by the governorship aspirants and they commended the party leadership of their efforts in preparing a transparent, free and fair governorship primaries.

“We are assuring all our contestants that the list of delegates as submitted by the 255 ward’s Party Chairmen, through their Local Governments Party Chairmen is still intact, nobody has tempered with it

“The party leadership is assuring all contestants of various positions of their resolve to give every one of them a level playing ground to achieve their aspirations.

“We do not intend to join issues with our party members because all issues discussed and ratified by the SWC are sacrosanct.

“Finally, we remain committed to our resolve to deliver Kaduna State to the PDP come 2019,” Catoh assured.
