Immediate past Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Architect Barnabas Yusuf Bala, popularly known as Bantex, is dead.
Bantex served as Deputy Governor to Governor Nasir el-Rufai from 2015 to 2019.
The late Bantex, whose death occurred on Sunday, July 11, 2021, had served the people of Kaduna State in several capacities before becoming Deputy Governor.
He was the pioneer Secretary of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU); a delegate to the 1994 Constitutional Conference; Chairman of Kaura Local Government Council and member for Kaura Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
