Operatives of the State Security Services (SSS) have successfully arrested two members of the Boko Haram terrorists group over the alleged bomb explosion on Tuesday in Sabon Gari area of Kano State.

The explosion, which occurred near a school left some persons dead, seriously injured and the school building destroyed thus, set the entire area into panicky and confusion state just as the Police and the Kano State Government claimed that it was not a bomb explosion but a gas cylinder that exploded.

But, eye witness account debunked the claims by both the police and the Kano State Government, insisting that it was a bomb detonated by a suicide bomber, stressing that the body of the suicide bomber was dismembered after the explosion.

The bomb explosion left a sore experience in the minds of residents of the highly populated Sabon Gari area as school children ran in different direction for cover while parents scampered around to get their children from the schools.

With the arrest of two members of the Boko Haram terrorists group by the SSS, the story is becoming clearer that the explosion is pointing at the direction that it was a bomb detonated by a suspected suicide bomber.

The SSS operatives during their operation, recovered four AK-47 riffles, two pistols, suicide vests and several Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)-making materials.

The Service is yet to officially issue a statement to announce or confirm the arrest of the two members of the Boko Haram terrorists group in Kano State.

It is becoming worrisome that the deadly Boko Haram terrorists are beginning to spread their tentacles towards the North-west geopolitical zone.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State had during the week openly raised an alarm, saying that members of the Boko Haram terrorists, particularly the Ansaru group have taken over two Local Government Areas in his state namely Birnin-Gwari and Giwa.
