Kemi Badenoch Hits Nigeria Hard Again, Says, It Has A Terrible Government

The United Kingdom (UK) Conservative Party Leader, Ms Kemi Badenoch has again launched attack on Nigeria, describing it as a “poor country with terrible government that destroy lives”.

She therefore warned that Britain must completely avoid the road to becoming Nigeria.

Badenoch, who stated these in her first speech of the year, stressed her push for “real conservatism” that guarantees a better future for the younger generation of Brits.

These statements marked another instance of Badenoch criticizing Nigeria, for its prolonged misgovernment as she had previously described personnel of the Nigerian police Force as “armed robbers” who intimidate citizens.

While sharing her personal experience of growing up in a poor country, watching her relatively wealthy family become poorer due to inflation, Badenoch said her migration to the UK at the age of 16 with her father’s last £100, was with the hope for a better life.

In her words; “I don’t want Britain to lose what it has. We are a great country, but we’ve lost our way… We owe it to the next generation to leave an inheritance for them and not mortgage their future to make our lives more comfortable”.

Badenoch highlighted her determination to prevent the UK from suffering a similar fate as Nigeria, just as she expressed her focus on her vision for Britain’s future, stressing the need for honesty and transparency in politics.

Badenoch’s statements have sparked a heated debate over the state of Nigeria and its government.

While some public commentators praised Ms Kemi Badenoch for speaking out against corruption and mismanagement, others criticized her for exposing Nigeria, her home country’s dirty laundry on the international stage.
