Killers Of Miyetti Allah’s Leader ‘ll Pay Dearly – Gov Sule Vows
BY AHMED TUKUR, LAFIA – Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has vowed that the killers of Miyetti Allah leader in the State, Mohammed Hussaini, will pay dearly for their heinous crime.
He said the State government is determined to work with security agencies in arresting and prosecuting those involved in committing the monstrous act.
Governor Sule said the time has come to ensure that all criminal elements disturbing the peace and tranquility in the North Central state are brought to book as a deterrent to others.
The governor made the pledge at the funeral prayers held for late Hussein, who was Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Nasarawa State.
He expressed sadness over the killing and urged those bent on breaching the peace enjoyed in the state to turn a new leaf or face the full wrath of the law.
Governor Sule told the deceased family and sympathisers to remain faithful and take solace in God while promising that his administration will not relent in its commitment to ensure adequate security of lives and property in the state.
He however cautioned members of the public against reprisal attacks, noting that such moves were capable of worsening the already apprehensive security situation in the state.
Hussain was killed by unknown gunmen alongside one other person outside a mosque in Garaku area of Kokona Local Government Area after Isha.a prayers on Friday night, April 2, 2021.
The killers subsequently fled the crime scene through low-cost houses after firing several shots in the air to scare people away.
Late Hussain was a member of the recently inaugurated Community Safety and Humanitarian Security Committee to partner with the Federal Government in tackling recurrent cases of killings across the state and country.
