The presidential candidate if New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has berated the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government for assigning the distribution of palliative rice in Kano State to the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin.
Kwankwaso, who was also a two term governor of the State, noted that the development drove partisanship too far, stressing that it clearly served as a gross insult to the nation’s constitutional democracy.
He therefore called on President Tinubu to immediately halt this naked derailment of democracy.
Kwankwaso said; “For the last one week I have been in Kano, and sadly I noted with great disappointment, the Federal Government distribution of rice palliative to 35 states all through their Governors, except Kano State in the whole federation.
“Kano’s share was handed over to APC stalwarts to handle. This is a gross insult to our constitutional democracy and driving partisanship too far”.
Kwankwanso also said that he noticed with great concern that within a span of two weeks, three different State Directors of the Department of State Services (DSS) were posted and reposted out of Kano and still counting, stressing that without doubt, the instability and movement of the DSS State Directors is impacting negatively on the security of Kano State.
