Kwankwaso Blasts Military Over Kaduna ‘Error’ Bombings
Demands sincerity to ensure justice, and avoid future occurrence
Former Governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the February 25, 2023 elections, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has described the claimed error bombings at Tundun Biri in Kaduna State as another gory episode and failure of security agencies in the country.
Dr Kwankwaso, who expressed sadness over the Sunday night airstrikes by the Nigerian Army that killed dozens at Tundun Biri during the Maulud celebration, also urged the government to compensate families of the bomb attack victims.
The former Minister of Defence wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Tuesday; “I am saddened by the news of the drone airstrike that killed scores of people and left numerous others with various degrees of injury in the Tudun Biri community of Igabi Local Government.
“This incidence of ‘mistaken’ airstrike, is another gory episode of security agencies leaving unintended harm to the poor masses they should protect in the country. The concerned authorities need to approach this with all sincerity and determination to ensure justice is done, and any future occurrence is avoided,”
“Consequently, I join other well-meaning individuals in calling on the government to adequately compensate the bereaved inhabitants of Tudun Biri for the immense trauma they have endured.”
