BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – Former Governor of Kaduna State and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2019 General Polls has sent his condolences to relatives and victims of a road accident that took place on Saturday along Kaduna-Kano expressway.
According to a statement signed by his spokesman, Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo, “The attention of Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi has been drawn to yet another vehicular tragedy, this time along Kaduna-Kano road this morning in which several people were burnt to death and several others injured.
“The Senator expresses deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prays for eternal rest for the deceased. He also wishes speedy recovery for the injured.
“Senator Makarfi believes that the rate at which carnage’s occur on our roads gives serious cause for concern and thus makes it a compelling necessity for the authorities to address all factors militating against safety on our roads.”
