Masked policemen on Friday stormed the hospital where Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West, was receiving treatment and forcefully whisked him away.
Forefront News gathered from that the officers used force to get the lawmaker, who was on hospital bed into an unmarked vehicle and immediately drove off.
The destination to which the unmarked vehicle drove to was however not know as at the time of filing this report.
Senator Melaye, who is known to be one of the major critics of the President Muhammadu Buharu’s administration surrendered himself to the police that laid siege at his residence for eight days and was taken to the Force headquarters and later transferred to the Police hospital.
Two weeks before the police surrounded his house, Senator Melaye had issued a statement saying the police high command planned to arrest and inject him with substance that would kill him slowly.
The police which initially denied Senator Melaye’s allegation later claimed and accused the senator of having a hand in the alleged shooting of one of its officers in Kogi state in July 2018.
