- Lagos Senatorial candidate rallies non-indigenes, women, others For APC
A political association, the Progressive Middle Belt Group (PMBG) has pledged support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to win the February 25 election.
The Ogun State Coordinator of the Group, Alhaji Alamu Olarewaju, said their support for the APC flag bearer stems from the fact that compared to other candidates seeking the job, he towers shoulder above them with the capacity to adequately address the challenges facing the country at the moment.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Ogun Chapter of the organisation at the Akinrogun Osoba House, Abeokuta, Olarewaju urged Nigerians to disregard politics of tribal sentiments and religion and vote for the former Lagos State governor in next month’s presidential election.
He said; “Let me be candid with you, Tinubu is the man we need to turn around the country for the good of all. None of the other candidates contesting the election has the qualifications that Tinubu has”.
In his comments at the occasion, National Coordinator, Abdulkareem Saani described Asiwaju Tinubu as a visionary leader, noting that as the Governor of Lagos State, he turned around the fortunes of the state for good.
Saani pleaded with Nigerians to give the APC Standard bearer a chance “so that the Lagos miracle can be replicated at the centre”.
