- Becomes first player to score 10 opening day goals

Liverpool iconic star, Mohamed Salah has made history against Bournemouth as he scored his 10th goal on a Premier League opening day.
The Egyptian striker, who scored in injury time as the Arne Slot’s side won the match 4-2, becomes first player to hit double figures
In scoring Liverpool’s fourth goal in a pulsating, topsy-turvy 4-2 victory over Bournemouth on Friday, the Egypt international extended a remarkable record; he has now scored 10 goals on Premier League opening days; he was already the most prolific player on game week one, but he is the first to hit double figures.
So far, only four players have scored eight goals on opening days and they are all iconic figures: Jamie Vardy, Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer, and Frank Lampard.
Salah’s goal against Bournemouth also marked his 187th in the Premier League, drawing him level with fourth-placed Andy Cole in the all-time Premier League goal scorer list.
However, Salah ended the night in tears as the Kop belted out Diogo Jota’s name on an emotionally-charged evening at Anfield.
The Reds paid tribute to the late Portugal international in poignant scenes both pre and post-match.
Meanwhile, the next stop for Liverpool is Newcastle in their Premier League game, and Salah will be out hoping to continue hitting the back of the net again and again.
