Moroccan King Phones Buhari, Wishes Him Good Health
King Mohammed VI of Morocco on Wednesday telephoned President Muhammad Buhari and wished him a quick recovery.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday said the Morocco King asked after the president’s health and expressed satisfaction at his rate of improvement.
According to him, the two leaders also discussed the current stage of the Morocco-Nigeria Atlantic crude oil pipeline project.
King Mohammed VI was quoted to have thanked Buhari for Nigeria’s support in returning Morocco to the African Union. , just as the monarch informed Buhari, who is on a medical vacation in London, United Kingdom, on Morocco’s request to join the Economic Community for West African States (ECOWAS).
“The Moroccan king also expressed intention to make the Rabat-Abuja strategic partnership a framework for regular consultation and cooperation on African issues of mutual interest to both countries,” the statement added.
The President thanked the Moroccan King for the phone call, and expressed the wish for deepening relations between both countries.
