Maestro Nigerian music Icon, King Sunny Ade (KSA) has opened up on his rumoured romantic affair with his bosom friend and co-compare, the late iconic singer, Late Onyeka Onwenu.
King Sunny Ade popularly known as KSA, revealed during a condolence visit to the Onwenu’s family, that the much talked about romantic relationship was part of a strategic move aimed at promoting their joint hit song titled; “Wait for Me”.
According to KSA; “It was a gimmick we did. It was for the music. We wanted to launch ‘Wait for Me.’
“People used to think that she was my girlfriend. It was all but, a gimmick. Me and her (Onyeka) never said yes or no,” he insisted.
KSA, the Maestro musical icon KSA paid heartfelt tributes to Onwenu, whom he described as an extraordinary woman who offered invaluable advice and support throughout their professional relationship.
He further said; “She was someone who will sit down with you. She used to say, ‘Can I chip in for some advice?’ And the advice was always excellent,” KSA recollected.
