The stakeholders that were made up of serving lawmakers, former deputy governor, senator and members of the State Working Committee of the party ran for their dear lives through the back door of Trish Hall, kini Country Hotel, Akwanga, venue of the event to escape the wrath of the youths.
The youths who came in their hundreds were shouting on top of their voices and pointing fingers at some members of the party that were seated on the high table.
The crisis which resulted in an exchange of blows in the hall succeeded in turning the event into a free for all among some of the party faithful.
The youths who defy all appeals warn security men at the event to stay away from their way or be ready to face their wrath
As sounds of the moving steps of the youths were heard, the stakeholders hurriedly stampeded out of the hall through the back door to the executive wing of the hotel for an emergency meeting on how to address the youths and ensure the event takes place.
In spite of attempts made to calm the aggrieved youths, the event could not hold as the youths chased away the party officials and stakeholders thereby forcing the ceremony to be shifted for a date yet to fixed.
The Youths had a field day as they could not be stopped from disrupting the meeting as they insisted that the event should not hold after a free for all in front of the stakeholders who were helpless.
