The Nigerian military has declared Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, popularly known as “Gentle The Yahoo,” wanted.
The military through its Joint Task Force South East code named, ‘Operation UDO KA, placed a N30 million bounty on him for any person that could provide credible information that would lead to his arrest.
A statement declaring “Gentle The Yahoo” wanted which was issued by the security task force, described Okorienta as a serious threat to peace in the South-East.
The Task Force appealed to members of the public to assist with needed information that could lead to his arrest.
The military stated; “A reward of 30,000,000” awaits anyone who provides credible information leading to the capture of the suspect”.
The Task Force particularly urged residents to support efforts to curb violence and criminality in the zone and provided two channels for members of the public to avail security agencies with information anonymously. The two numbers are 193 and 0806 795 9570.
The military also published the photograph of Okorienta on the wanted notice, which carries the campaign message “Give Peace A Chance”, “No Violence”, “No Criminality in the South East.”
The declaration comes amid intensified security efforts in the South-East geo-political zone targeting suspects allegedly involved in violent and other criminal activities.
The military however, cautioned members of the public against confronting the suspect in person, but should pass any credible and useful information to the security agencies through the designated channels.
