BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus on Monday said Nigerians in their widest imaginations, never thought that the country could deteriorate to the level it is today

Secondus, who said this at an emergency meeting of the PDP’s 80th National Executive Committee (NEC), stressed that the situation in the country demands that all hands must be on deck to see off, what he described as “the incompetent APC” regime.

According to him; “The situation in the country demands that all people of goodwill must join hands to legally see out this incompetent APC government.

“Nigerians are looking up to our members to halt the disastrous slide in the state of the nation. We must join other democrats to save Nigeria as she heads to disaster under the watch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

“The monkeys and baboons as predicted by the APC have truly been soaked in blood as life is no longer worth anything with rivers of blood a constant spectacle.”

Secondus further said that Nigerians and the international community have remained in shock over the lack of political will of the administration to rein in the killer herdsmen.

Commenting on the July 14, governorship election in Ekiti state, Secondus said “what happened in Ekiti was disgraceful, a sham and a mockery of democracy” but quickly assured the party leaders and members across the country and in Diaspora that the PDP has enough evidence to reclaim its mandate at the tribunal.

The PDP national Chairman noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and security agencies threw decency and fairness over board, openly tear gassing, intimidating and arresting PDP agents while providing cover for APC thugs to wreck their planned havoc.

In his words; “Even national and international observers who voiced out their genuine observations were harassed by security agents and their offices ransacked for speaking the truth.”

A statement by media Adviser to the PDP national chairman, Ike Abonyi, said the emergency NEC meeting of the party was called to brief leaders of the party on the developments in the party as it relates to the alliance entered into by the party.
