NPA, NIMASA Get New Executive Directors
New Executive Directors have been approved by President Bola Tinubu for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Both agencies are being supervised by the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), issued on Thursday, listed the new appointments in the NPA as Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet – Executive Director, Finance and Administration; Engr. Olalekan Badmus – Executive Director, Marine and Operations; and Engineer Ibrahim Abba Umar – Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services.
For NIMASA, the appointees are Mr. Jibril Abba – Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services; Mr Chudi Offodile, Executive Director – Finance and Administration; and Engineer Fatai Taye Adeyemi – Executive Director, Operations
Ngelale said the President approved the appointments āwith the firm belief, after studying their impressive profiles, that the new appointees will expeditiously and efficiently execute on their collective mandate to create the conditions required to significantly raise the contribution of the Marine & Blue Economy sector to the nationās GDP while evolving the Nigerian economy into a labour-intensive and inclusive one that creates a new opportunity for all Nigerians in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
