PDP National Chairman: North-west Pledges Support For Prof Adeniran

BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The Northwest Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday in Kaduna pledged their support for Prof Tunde Adeniran’s candidature for the position of national chairman of the party in the scheduled December 9, 2017 national convention.  

Secretary of the zone, Joseph Gumbari, who announced at a meeting with Prof Adeniran Campaign Organization (TACO), headed by Prof. Jerry Gana, assured him of the zones’ support. 

Gumbari said; “We know why you are here. To canvass for our vote. We’ll give you our vote. We pray you don’t forget us when you’re there. We are in the process of putting our house together in order for everybody to be carried along.”

Gumbari said being the largest zone in the north, with seven states, their support for the chairmanship of Prof. Adeniran would give him an added advantage, adding that PDP is key to development, recognition to youth and voice to the voiceless.

Leader of the campaign team, Prof Jerry Gana, said as a result of poor governance and blunder of the ruling party, Nigerians are waiting eagerly for the return of the PDP. 

He said as former Minister and founding member of the party, Prof Adeniran has enough leadership quality and experience to drive the party to victory come 2019.

TACO, which storms Kaduna Northwest headquarters, held an interactive meeting with delegates from the seven states of the zone in hotel 17, in Kaduna. 

Titled: TACO, for new beginning, the chairmanship aspirant was gloriously ushered into Hotel 17th main conference hall, venue of the meeting, in company of the party youths, led by Danjuma Sariki, chanting songs of praises with posters of varying inscriptions and acceptability. 

The team was also accompanied by some PDP top shots that included Hajiya Inna Maryam Ciroma, who is an aspirant for the office of the Deputy National chairman of the PDP, AlHaji Adamu Maina, Hon Jonathan Assake, as well as Kaduna State Chairman of the party, Hassan Hyat. 

Others include Chief Ekwesilieze Nwodo, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gaban, Abubakar Mahadi, son of Late General Ironsi, Amb Thomas Aguironsi
