The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced the postponement of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting earlier scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
A statement issued on Sunday, March 9, 2025, by Hon S.K.E Udeh Okoye, National Secretary of the PDP, stated that the NEC meeting would now take place on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Udeh Okoye explained that the postponement of the 99th NEC meeting of the PDP followed some emerging issues including the need to conclude the Party’s pending Zonal, State, L.G.A and Ward Congresses.
The PDP National Secretary further said the change of date for the NEC meeting was to allow for further consultation to ensure a hitch-free conduct of the meeting especially with regard to other proposed activities of the Party.
The statement said that based on the aforementioned reasons, the National Working Committee (NWC) after due consultation with leaders, stakeholders and relevant Organs of the Party including the Board of Trustees (BoT), the PDP Governors’ Forum and the PDP National Assembly Caucus, accordingly resolved that the 99th NEC meeting earlier scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025 has been unavoidably shifted to Thursday, May 15, 2025.
Udeh Okoye urged all NEC members of the PDP to take note of the new date and be guided accordingly.
The NWC however, regretted any inconveniences the change of date may cause members of NEC.
