BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The political design ahead of 2019 is gradually taking shape as opposition political parties met, agreed and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja on mutual areas cooperation and common front with a view to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The MoU with the code ‘Rescue Nigeria’ was entered into and signed by 39 registered political parties led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Labour Party (LP) amongst others and the new faction that found its way out of the APC with a new name – Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC) which is seen as an active participant in the latest move.

Details of the MOU which was signed at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja were still sketchy as at the time of this report.

However, the latest move is believed to have sent jitters into the spine of the APC which is still struggling to overcome the deadly political thunder that struck it last week as a faction led by Engr Buba Galadima broke away from it.

Details later.
