BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The indigenes of Plateau State based in the United Kingdom on the aegis of “Plateau State Association-UK has urged Governor Simon Bako Lalong to as a matter of necessity re-school himself on what service to the people means and entails.

The association specifically urged Governor Lalong to equally learn from and emulate his Benue and Taraba States counter-parts in the delivering of service to the people.

The association in a statement by its President, Mr Rwang Chall said there is the dire need for Governor Lalong to a;ways think of the general interest of the people than those of some powerful forces and or interest.

The UK Plateau Association pointedly advised Lalong to learn from Governors Samuel Ortom and Ishaku Darius of Benue and Taraba State respectively, both of whom have consistently stood on the side of their people.

The statement further states; “Our humble suggestion to Governor Lalong is that he re-schools himself about what service-to-the-people really means, by learning from Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue state and Ishaku Darius of Taraba state, who have consistently stood on the side of the ‘people’ and not on the side of powerful masters or interests.”
