Plateau State Government Gets CBN Boost On Agriculture
Efforts by the Governor Simon Lalong-led administration in Platau State to boost agriculture has started yielding positive results.
This is as the state government worked to put smiles in the faces of farmers and youths following the granting of N1.5 billion loan approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBM) under the Accelerated Agriculture Development Scheme (AADS).
Branch Controller of the CBN in Plateau state, Mr. Yusuf Duniya, announced the cherry news when he led members of the Financial Inclusion Committee on a courtesy visit on Governor Simon Lalong, at the Government House, Little Rayfield Jos.
Looking beyond agriculture, Governor Lalong also urged the CBN to direct commercial banks in the state to revert back to the normal closing hours of 4pm since peace has returned to the state.
Lalong said that the people of Plateau State are being shortchanged from participating in banking activities like other states.
