A positive attitude is not necessarily something we are all born with, but one that we develop. The trick is in the realisation that while none of us can control much, we can however control our attitude in response to situations and come out on top. Once upon a time, there was a bunch of tiny frogs who organised a racing competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A large crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer up the contestants. The race began. No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower, so the crowd yelled statements such as:
“Oh, this is way too difficult. They will never make it to the top. There is no chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!”
The tiny frogs began collapsing one by one, except for those in a fresh tempo, climbing higher and higher. The crowd continued to yell, “It is too difficult! No one will make it!” More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.
At the end, every frog had given up climbing the tower, with the exception of one that continued climbing higher and higher as it refuse to give up. All of the other tiny frogs wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it.
A contestant asked the tiny frog how it found the strength to succeed and reach its goal? It turned out that the winner was actually deaf.
Never listen to other people’s tendencies to be negative or pessimistic, because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you. As much as we try to be positive all the time, negativity and doubtful thoughts always manage to creep in. Especially during times of physical, mental and emotional weakness.
If we see something in a negative way, it is going to be negative, but if we think optimistically, everything around us will become positive. And more than everything, there are thousands and thousands of pessimistic people around us who would corrupt our ways of thinking. Our life is so much controlled by our thoughts and perceptions; where sometimes we think of negative things. In this situation, we tend to loose our positive thoughts and our mind get corrupted with anger, jealousy, hate, despair and revenge. Positive and negative thoughts can become self-fulfilling prophecies: What we expect can often come true. So, in this stressful situation, we should clear our mind with lively good positive thoughts that will help us to move forward in life. We need to be strong and clear in our ways of thinking so that we do not get carried away by others.
If you start off thinking you will mess up a task, the chances are that you will. You will not try hard enough to succeed, you won’t attract support from other people, and you may not perceive any result as good enough.
Positive thinking, on the other hand, is often associated with positive actions and outcomes you are drawn to, and focus on the positive aspects of a situation. You have hope and faith in yourself and others, and you work and invest hard to prove that your optimism is warranted. You will enthuse others, and they may pitch in to help you. This makes constructive outcomes more likely.
Positive thoughts helps us in many ways to be peaceful, happy and filter our ideas with good feelings and perception towards other persons. It is very important in our school, college, personal and professional life. Many people in times of crisis or problem lose their patience level and start hurting their minds with negative thoughts, which is not good at all. Whatever the situation is, we should always believe in our actions and values. We should never think negative toward us or any other person as it will hamper our personal as well as professional life. In every situation we should console ourselves saying “ALL IS WELL” and “I am positive” during difficult problems.
Always think of the power words have, because everything you hear and read will affect your actions. Be DEAF when people tell you that you cannot fulfil your dreams. Devote time and Energy to Positive People. Do not let anyone undermine your dreams. Remove the negativity and make it positive, by being and staying positive always.
