Transparency: BPE Advocates Inter-Agency Synergy
– Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Alex Okoh says inter-agency collaboration and synergy will advance the success and positive impact of Federal Government programmes on all fronts.
This is even as the Federal Government will soon launch the template for operating surpluses by all its revenue generating agencies in the country.
Okoh said under his watch, the Bureau would promote rapport and build bridges across board to engender productive relationship among government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the country.
Speaking when he visited the acting Chairman, Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), Mr. Victor Muruako on Tuesday, Okoh said BPE attaches great importance to the mandate and work of the Commission.
He said the Bureau was therefore ready to strike a strong relationship that would continuously promote accountability and transparency in the Bureau’s activities and public service delivery.
In his remarks, Acting Chairman of FRC, Mr. Muruako solicited a robust relationship with the Bureau in discharging the mandate delivery of both agencies.
He described the BPE Director General’s visit as a clear demonstration of his preparedness to work with relevant stakeholders, including strong collaboration synergy with the FRC for the overall public good
Muruako, who pledged to support the Bureau given its willingness to partner with the Commission, said whatever the FRC has to do is predicated on funding “the nation’s treasury, which requires the cooperation of all revenue generating agencies in the country”.
He disclosed that the template for operating surpluses in the country would soon be launched with all government revenue generating agencies, including BPE, scheduled to attend the formal launch.
