Probe Murder Of Yakubu By APC Agents – Bauchi PDP Campaign Council Charges Security Agencies
The Director-General of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council in Bauchi state, Farouk Mustapha has challenged security agencies to probe the killing of an innocent Nigerian, Yunusa Yakubu during the Gubernatorial campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Akuyam, Misau Local Government Area of the state.
This was as Mustapha condemned the alleged killing, saying that only a proper investigation and appropriate punishment meted to the culprits would ensure justice for the Late Yunusa Yakubu.
The PDP Campaign Director General, who stated these at a press conference on Wednesday in Bauchi, denied an any involvement of PDP in an alleged attack of the APC gubernatorial candidate during his campaign rally in Akuyam district, stressing that the PDP in the state is law abiding and will never support any kind of violence on opponents.
Mustapha further said; “We at the PDP campaign council, we are saddened with this ugly act and therefore we are extending our condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, Akuyam District and the entire people of Bauchi State.
“We are surprised that the security personnel attached to the APC gubernatorial candidate are intimidating citizens who expressed their views against the APC through use of ammunition.
“Consequently, the PDP campaign council is saddened with this ugly incident, especially as it relates to the cause of the death of Yunusa Yakubu.”
“We condemned in its totality, the use of force by security agents attached to opposition parties in the state to harass and maim innocent citizens of the state. We call on relevant security agencies to investigate the matter and bring the culprits and any erring security personnel found to be culpable to book,” he said.
