Rapist of Three Months Old Child Arrested By NSCDC In Lafia

BY AHMED TUKUR, LAFIA – The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the arrest of 27 year old rapist by name Ahmadu Yaro.

Yaro, who is presently in the custody of the NSCDC is alleged to have raped a three months old baby in Adogi village of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The State commandant Gidado Fari, who confirmed the arrest of Yaro, said that the suspect would be paraded and arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigation.

The NCSDC boss also said that the suspect will be paraded in the presence of the family of his victims at the state command Headquarters, Lafia.
Fari further said; “Ahmadu Yaro, who is a prime suspect was arrested on June 20, 2020 at about 0328 hours and still under custody for further investigation”.

Fari said that the suspect has confessed to the crime by accepting that he raped five other victims in the village before the latest casualty, a three month old Rukaiiya Aliyu.
The NSCDC Commandant said that the suspect was arrested two years ago by the community for the same offence but was however left off the hook without the involvement of security agencies.
Fari said; “The suspect is believed to be a one man gang claiming partial mental disorder which is not yet confirmed or established.”
