The All Progressives Congress (APC), on Sunday debunked reports of the appointment of the remaining principal officers of the ruling party in the 9th National Assembly.
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu described the purported reports as false and should therefore be disregarded.
Issa-Onilu explained that in arriving at party decisions and indeed in all its activities, the APC has always been transparent and ensuring that the best democratic principles are adhered to in whatever steps it takes.
He said that consultations are ongoing adding that in its typical style, the APC will come out to formally announce its decision on the appointments.
Issa-Onilu also said; “With the prevalence of fake news, we urge the media to always wait for and rely on official statements from the party other than unofficial sources. The media should please take due note of this on future issues that involve our party.”
