Sagamu Killing: IGP Tasks DIG FCID On Tiamiyu’s Death, Calls For Calm

The Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Mohammed A Adamu, has ordered the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in-charge of Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), DIG Anthony Ogbizi, to immediately take over investigations into circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Tiamiyu Kazeem in Sagamu, Ogun State on February 22, 2020.

A statement in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba said the IGP gave the marching order on Monday, February, 24, 2020 while reviewing daily reports of major crime incidents across the country.

He said the IGP, while commiserating with the family and friends of the deceased, has called for calm with assurances that justice will be done in the matter.

According to the statement, the IGP has also promised that any person found culpable in the killing would be brought to book.
