Deadly kidnappers, who abducted about 10 persons from Sagwari Estate Layout, Dutse in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on January 7, 2024, have murdered two more of their victims to further send a strong warning to their relatives to pay up the ransom they are demanding.

The deadly kidnappers, it was gathered, after killing some of their abductees, raised the bar in their demand for ransom from an initial amount of N60 million per person to N100 million thereby giving a sum total of N700 million.

Residents said the murdered victims were allegedly killed by the bandits as a result of the delay in meeting up with the payment of the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.

Painfully, a 13-year-old secondary school student, identified as Folorunsho Ariyo, was among the unfortunate victims brutally murdered by the kidnappers.

The deadly kidnappers alleged to have carried out their evil operation in some villages in Bwari on Friday, January 12, 2024, killed Nabeeha Al-Kadriya with a warning to her parents to pay the ransom or they would kill the remaining sisters

The unfortunate development led the immediate past minister Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Ali Pantami, to announce on Sunday, January 14, 2024 that he had mobilised the balance of N50million ransom for the Al-Kadriyar family to enable them secure the release of their remaining five daughters from the kidnappers after the murder of Nabeeha.

This was as it was gathered that residents of Sagwari Layout have marshalled out plans to stage a massive protest against the perceived inaction of the government and security agencies in rescuing the release of their people.

The protest which was initially planned for today, Monday, January 15, 2024 was however shifted by 24 hours in honour of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
