BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – Following a damning security report on the Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu by the State Security Services (SSS), the Senate on Wednesday rejected his nomination for confirmation as substantive Chairman.
This is the second time Magu is appearing before the Senate for screening and confirmation but unable to scale the hurdle after President Muhammadu Buhari sent his name to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
The Department of State Services (DSS) wrote and transmitted another damning letter to the Senate on Tuesday at about 5pm in which Magu was indicted.
However, Magu in response to the letter from the DSS on his person said; “for an organisation that can write two different reports on an issue the same day speaks volume of the credibility of such an organisation”
