Signature On APC Revalidation Document, Not Mine – Dr Fatima Atiku Abubakar
BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The daughter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Dr Fatima on Wednesday declared that the signature appended to the Revalidation document of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in circulation is not hers.
Dr Fatima said that as a matter of fact, she has been in Abuja and never travelled to Jada where the purported revalidation was said to have taken place, stressing that she never filled a form nor signed any document of the APC.
These were contained in a press statement she personally signed and a copy made available to Forefront in which Dr Fatima Atiku Abubakar pointedly said that contrary to media reports, she did not revalidate her membership of the APC.
In her words; “In 2015 when I was appointed as Commissioner of Health in Adamawa State, I had to join the ruling party in my state. It was a requirement for the opportunity to serve.
“Since the conclusion of my duty tour as Commissioner, I am now into private practice, with no affiliation to any political party.
“I was, however, taken aback to read of my purported revalidation of APC membership.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I did not revalidate any membership of APC which was necessitated by my call to service in 2015,” she said.
Dr Fatima Atiku Abubakar urged members of the public to discountenance any report that claims that she revalidated her membership of the APC.
