Tambuwal’s Infor Commissioner Joins APC

For daring to jump ship from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto has relieved the State Commissioner for Information, Mr Bello Muhammad-Goronyo of his appointment.

According to the Director General, Media and Public Relations to the Governor, Malam Abubakar Shekara, the sack is with immediate effect.

Muhammad-Goronyo, who until his dismissal by the governor, was also Chairman, Publicity and Media Committee of PDP Governorship Campaign Council in Sokoto State, reportedly announced his defection at All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Wamakko on Tuesday

The statement by Shekara in Sokoto said; “Governor Aminu Tambuwal has relieved Barrister Bello Goronyo of his appointment as Commissioner for Information with immediate effect.

“The Permanent Secretary has been directed to take over the affairs of the Ministry immediately.”

Shekara said the decision to drop the Commissioner from the cabinet was due to his alleged sabotage of government’s efforts in delivering on its admirable programmes and activities to the people of Sokoto State. – NAN
