Terrorists Ambush Troops Of Presidential Brigade Of Guards In Abuja

Terrorists groups have continued to advance their spread and hold in parts of the Federal Capital Territory as they reportedly ambushed the elite military presidential Guards Brigade on routine patrol.

Forefront News gathered that the elite Guards Brigade guarding the Capital City particularly the seat of government, the Aso Presidential Villa, were ambushed along Bwari Kubwa road.

It was further gathered that the attack may have confirmed the report that the terrorists have been camping within the vicinity and were planning to launch an attack on the Nigerian Law School, situated in Bwari, Abuja as earlier reported.

The troops of the elite Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army, were believed to have been on patrol of Bwari Area where the Nigerian Law School and the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB), are located.

Further checks indicated that three soldiers were wounded in the ambush and are presently receiving a military hospital in Abuja.

The unfortunate development marked the first direct encounter between terrorists and troops of the Brigade of Guards in Abuja.
