BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, says talking less and doing more has remained his strongest point that sees him towering above many others in the nation’s political space.

Maintaining this attribute makes him stay on as a high flyer and unique personality, Tinubu mocked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that he works more instead of engaging in idle talks like most politicians do.

The former Lagos State governor, who likened himself to an eagle that flies higher than a parrot, tweeted; “I talk less, think more, and do more. I am more of an eagle than a parrot. That is why I fly higher.”

The APC presidential flag bearer’s tweet comes on the heels of claims by the opposition PDP that he (Tinubu) was intimidated by the achievements and credentials of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is the party’s candidate in next year’s presidential elections.

The APC National Leader had expressed surprise that the PDP is still existing as a political party, saying that in its 16 years of ruling the country, he could not see a rail infrastructure that could do haulage, human and animal husbandry, food carriage from the South-West to the North.

The PDP, in claiming that the former Lagos State governor is a confused paper candidate, had also described APC as a dead party.

A statement by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, also accused Tinubu of attempting to divert attention from the failures of President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.

Ologunagba said Nigerians are appalled by yet another attempt by Tinubu, to divert attention from the main issues of the failures of the APC government by making derogatory remarks about the PDP.

He further said PDP is united and focused on its mission of rescuing Nigeria from the APC’s eight years of misrule and nothing can save the ruling party from electoral defeat and humiliation come 2023 general elections.
